Safer Continuous Precipitation Process

Following a powder explosion incident at a client’s site, Microinnova developed a safer continuous precipitation process to replace the hazardous milling step. By controlling nucleation and particle growth through continuous manufacturing, the process achieved the desired particle size without milling. This innovation increased safety, reduced processing risks, and delivered a continuous lab plant for pilot testing. The project highlights how process intensification and flow chemistry can significantly enhance safety and efficiency in chemical manufacturing.
